The current administration has made fake news the norm. With the use of technology, it is extremely challenging to distinguish between authentic and fraudulent news. Fake news has been increasing as the 2024 presidential and legislative elections draw near. The goal of such behavior is to damage political leaders' reputations and make them unappealing to Ghanaian voters.




Ghanaian writer and managing editor of the Insight Newspaper, Mr. Kwasi Pratt Junior, has denied false information concerning former president John Dramani Mahama.

Mr. Kwasi Pratt Junior, a Ghanaian journalist and managing editor of the Insight Newspaper, has refuted untrue claims made about former president John Dramani Mahama.


He called the phony report that the former president would think about joining the New Patriotic Party "ludicrous." In addition to John Dramani Mahama, Mr. Kwesi Pratt Junior discussed the recently reported information that Hon. Cynthia Mamle Morrison had re-joined the New Patriotic Party after announcing her intention to run as an independent in the next legislative elections.

He also attacked people who spread false information, calling them dishonest and vile. In order to discourage others, Kwasi Pratt Junior urged the appropriate authorities to crack down on false news operators. View the video below.
