
The Mayor of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur, yesterday successfully held a Media Encounter at the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly (CCMA) Hall, marking exactly seven (7) months in office since assuming duty as Mayor of the Metropolis.
Addressing members of the media, Hon. George Justice Arthur used the occasion to account to residents of Cape Coast on progress made so far, ongoing development initiatives, and his vision for advancing the socio-economic development of the Metropolis. He reaffirmed his commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance.
During the interactive session, the Mayor meticulously and candidly responded to all questions raised by the press, demonstrating openness and readiness to engage stakeholders on matters affecting the Assembly and the people of Cape Coast.
The Media Encounter was attended by the Metropolitan Coordinating Director, Mr. Asumah Braimah, the Central Regional Chairman of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Mr. Kingsley Nana Buadu, some Honourable Assembly Members, as well as Heads of Departments of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly.
The engagement further strengthened the working relationship between the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly and the media, highlighting the critical role of the press in promoting accountability, public education, and participatory local governance.
