Intelbase Ghana Limited is establishing a manufacturing facility in Prampram to produce fire extinguishers and safety equipment for domestic and vehicle use.

CEO Lawrence Appiakubi stated that the company aims to address concerns over the quality of imported fire extinguishers in Ghana, which have reportedly been substandard.

The facility, located in the Prampram Traditional Municipality, is expected to create jobs for Ghanaians, with over 90% of the workforce comprising local employees. The project is being undertaken in collaboration with the Ghana Free Zones Authority and other agencies, including the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Ghana National Fire Service.

Head of Operations Albert DoKu emphasized that the project aligns with Ghana's 24-hour economy agenda and will contribute to job creation, particularly for youth.

The company plans to employ multiple layers of skill sets, with technical expertise from abroad making up about 5% of the workforce. This will ensure that local employees receive training and skills transfer from international experts.

The site inspection is a crucial step in the compliance process, and the project is expected to take off immediately upon completion.

The facility is expected to enhance fire safety in Ghana and contribute to the country's economic development. The production of high-quality fire extinguishers will help reduce the risk of fire-related accidents and fatalities in the country.

The project is also expected to boost Ghana's manufacturing sector, which is a key component of the country's economic development strategy. The facility will produce a range of fire safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, fire alarms, and sprinkler systems.

Intelbase Ghana Limited is committed to ensuring that the facility meets international standards and best practices in fire safety equipment manufacturing. The company is working closely with relevant authorities to ensure that the project is completed on time and meets all regulatory requirements.

The establishment of the manufacturing facility is expected to have a positive impact on the local community, creating employment opportunities and stimulating economic growth.

The project is a significant investment in Ghana's future, and is expected to contribute to the country's development goals.
