On 29th September 2025, the Universal Christ Church (UCC) in Koforidua, capital of the Eastern Region, witnessed an extraordinary moment during its annual event, Archangel Michael Day. What began as a vibrant daytime gathering soon transformed into a spectacle that has since dominated conversation across the region.

According to a widely circulated video, Prophet Gabriel Twumasi prayed, and moments later, the moon appeared visibly in broad daylight. The rare sight left many in awe and has prompted ongoing discussions about faith, miracles, and natural phenomena.

The event, held on the church’s expansive open grounds, drew a large crowd of worshippers dressed predominantly in red, with a handful in white to mark the special occasion.

The atmosphere was energetic and filled with expectation, as Archangel Michael Day is known for its spiritually charged demonstrations and prophetic encounters.

In the viral footage, Prophet Twumasi stands before his congregation, surrounded by junior pastors and church leaders. With a firm posture and unmistakable confidence, he lifts his hands and issues a prayerful command toward the sky. The crowd instantly grows silent, watching in anticipation.

Within moments, the camera pans upward and there it is: a bright, circular object resembling the moon, clearly visible in the daylight sky. Gasps ripple through the congregation. Worshippers clap, shout in amazement, and lift their hands in praise, while others remain motionless, stunned by what they are witnessing.

The sudden appearance triggers a wave of excitement, worship, and emotional reactions across the field.

For members of UCC, the event was yet another demonstration of what they describe as Prophet Twumasi’s extraordinary prophetic grace. Many recall earlier instances in which he reportedly commanded natural elements, calling forth the moon, summoning clouds, or praying for rain to stop and appeared moments later. To them, the daylight sighting on Archangel Michael Day was a further confirmation of his spiritual authority.

Prophet Twumasi continues to maintain a strong public presence, particularly through his popular weekly radio broadcast on Asempa FM every Wednesday at 10 p.m. His teachings and prophetic declarations draw listeners nationwide, cementing his influence across Ghana’s Christian landscape.

Eyewitnesses at the event describe the experience as unforgettable. Many say the timing, occurring just seconds after the Prophet’s declaration, felt too precise to be coincidental.

For them, the moment deepened their faith and strengthened their connection to the ministry.

As anticipation grows for next year’s Archangel Michael Day, expectations are already running high.

Whether interpreted as miracle, mystery, atmospheric coincidence, or divine intervention, the event has undeniably placed Prophet Gabriel Twumasi back at the center of national attention highlighting once again the profound impact of his ministry on believers and observers alike.

Archangel Michael Day also known as Michaelmas is traditionally celebrated on September 29th in many Western Christian traditions, marking the feast of the Archangels Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael.

In Eastern Orthodox traditions, the celebration falls on November 8th.

Historically, the day signified the end of the harvest season and served as an important quarter day in English and Irish legal, academic, and financial calendars.
