On the average, Ideal College management awards scholarships to fifty (50) needy but brilliant students, across the country, annually.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the prestigious coeducational second cycle private institution prioritizes assistance to such students, towards improving their access to quality education.

One of the myriad beneficiaries, Isaac Aidoo emerged as the Best Graduating Student in Actuarial Science and Best Graduating Student at the Department of Economics and Actuarial Science, University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), 2025 graduation ceremony.

From Senya Bereku, a farming community in the Central Region, Isaac Aidoo gained the Ideal College scholarship following his excellent performance in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), in 2011.

Ideally College fully paid for his academic journey, and he graduated with a final cumulative Grade Point Average (FCGPA) of 3.81 with a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science.

Appreciation

The elated Isaac Aidoo at the graduation ceremony in Accra, in an interview commended the Executive Management and teaching staff of Ideal College for largely contributing to his stardom.

He narrated, “Following my basic education at Jehovah Shammah School Complex, Senya Baraku, I was placed at the T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School at Gomoa Potsin in the Central Region, but because of the delay in reporting due to financial difficulties, I lost it and when Ideal College came up with the scholarship for Basic Education Certificate Examination graduates in Senya Bereku, I opted for it and was subsequently enrolled into the institution.”

“I am feeling very happy. It is an achievement because the journey has not been easy. I completed Ideal College in 2014 with aggregate nine.

“ I earlier gained admission into the University of Ghana, Legon in 2015 after SHS but I had to drop out school because I had a scholarship to India to do BSc Economics but upon arrival in that country I realized the programme I applied for was not what I was given so I had to come back to Ghana.”

“Then Ideal College came to my aid. The Director spoke to me and advised me that I was young and should go back to school. So, back in 2021, I enrolled in UPSA. While I was in UPSA, Ideal College sponsored me to take the professional Actuarial Science examination. Currently,

“I have passed Exam P and Exam FM from Society of Actuaries (SOA). This means I have qualified to become an Actuary in the industry, so I am looking forward to gaining employment.”

“I express my gratitude to the management of Ideal College for the scholarship offered me at both the University of Ghana and the UPSA.”
