Media personality Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah has asserted that the international community has confronted President John Dramani Mahama over ongoing allegations of a cocaine smuggling saga in the country.

Okatakyie alleged that members of the diplomatic community have detected suspicious dealings in the ongoing investigations and have approached the President on the matter.

Speaking on his show For the Records on April 8, 2025, he stated, “I am reliably informed that the international communities, the diplomatic communities, have confronted John Mahama about the issue. They have seen what is happening, so they criticized Mahama.”

He further accused the president's spokesperson, Felix Ofosu Kwakye, of inconsistency, saying, “But Felix Ofosu Kwakye is being inconsistent with his utterances and dealings.”

Reverend John Ntim Fordjour, the Member of Parliament for Assin South, has recently captured national attention and media headlines, becoming the most talked-about political figure in Ghana.

His sudden surge in popularity follows a bold allegation, asserting that two foreign flights suspiciously landed in Ghana in March 2025, allegedly involved in cocaine trafficking and money laundering activities.

These explosive claims have been strongly denied by the Mahama-led government, which has urged the MP to cooperate fully with the country’s security agencies as investigations continue.

In a dramatic turn of events on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, approximately 20 operatives of the National Investigations Bureau (NIB), armed with AK-47 rifles, attempted to arrest Rev Ntim.
