The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ghana has announced a nationwide and international call for creative logo designs to commemorate the Ghana–Japan Triple Anniversaries in 2027.
The commemorative logo will serve as the official emblem for events, publications, and promotional materials marking three significant milestones in the longstanding relationship between Ghana and Japan:
70th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ghana and Japan.
50th Anniversary of the dispatch of the Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV) to Ghana.
100th Anniversary of the visit of renowned Japanese medical scientist Dr. Hideyo Noguchi to Ghana.
The Ministry is inviting graphic designers, artists, students, and members of the public from all nationalities and backgrounds to submit original logo concepts that capture the spirit of friendship, cooperation, and shared history between the two nations.
The winning design will be adopted as the official logo for the Ghana–Japan Triple Anniversaries celebrations and the creator will receive a Certificate of Commendation.
Interested participants are required to submit their entries electronically in JPEG, PDF, or EPS format, together with a brief explanation of the design, to the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Ghana and Japan.
The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, 30 September 2026, while the winning logo is expected to be announced in November 2026.
The initiative seeks not only to commemorate decades of diplomatic cooperation but also to strengthen people-to-people ties and promote greater awareness of the enduring partnership between Ghana and Japan.
