The Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) has extended heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Samson Deen, President of the National Paralympic Committee of Ghana, following his emphatic re-election as President of the African Paralympic Committee (APC).

Mr. Deen secured a commanding 38 out of 40 votes during the 2025 African Paralympic General Assembly held in Accra, reaffirming his visionary leadership and the continent’s overwhelming confidence in his stewardship.

In a statement released by the GOC, the Committee described the victory as a “resounding affirmation of his transformative agenda”, highlighting the remarkable strides made under his first term — most notably, the successful hosting of the inaugural African Para Games in Ghana.

“The GOC is proud of Mr. Deen’s continued leadership at the helm of the APC, which strengthens Ghana’s influential voice in continental and global sports administration,” the statement read.

The Committee further emphasized that his re-election will deepen collaboration between the Olympic and Paralympic movements in Ghana, promoting inclusivity and excellence across all sporting disciplines.

The GOC concluded by wishing Mr. Deen and his new executive team a successful tenure as they work to elevate the Paralympic movement and create more opportunities for African para-athletes.
