Nana Bediatuo Asante in stable condition, responding well to treatment – Presidency

The Office of the President has provided an update on the health status of its Secretary, Nana Bediatuo Asante, clarifying recent reports about his condition.

On Tuesday, October 1, there were unconfirmed reports suggesting that Mr. Asante had suffered a stroke and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

However, in a statement issued on Wednesday, October 2, the Presidency explained that Nana Bediatuo Asante felt unwell following his participation as a key member of President Akufo-Addo’s delegation at the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, USA.

The statement confirmed that Mr. Asante was subsequently admitted to the hospital, where he is currently in stable condition and responding well to treatment.

“The medical team has indicated that Nana Bediatuo Asante’s recovery is progressing as expected, and we remain optimistic about his full recovery,” the statement read.
