A man was arrested for defrauding an Airtel Money agent in Monkey Bay.

One suspect has been detained by Monkey Bay police in relation to a fraud case involving the K717,752 theft of a teenage Airtel Money and Mpamba agent. After the victim reported the incident, the culprit was apprehended at Mtakataka Turn-Off Road, according to Monkey Bay Police spokesperson Alice Sichali, who verified the arrest. The guy, known as James Alidi, allegedly approached the young woman at her store while posing as a fortune teller, according to information obtained by Zodiak Online. According to reports, he persuaded her that he could magically increase her wealth. The woman gave him K717,752 after accepting his allegations. In exchange, Alidi handed her a sheet of black plastic that he said held the extra cash.
