The Kumawood actors who attended the meeting with John Dramani Mahama disappointed Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, an entertainment journalist and pundit, who also praised Abeiku Santana for denouncing the introduction of technology into the creative industry in an attempt to increase money. He claims that the Kumawood film business is falling behind because it was slow to adopt new technologies.

It is therefore astonishing that they will support someone who opposes an attempt to establish a platform to improve their work while instead praising a television station that viewers will pay to watch. According to the man, there are falsehoods about the streaming service. He then questioned the streaming platform's applicability. After finishing, he declared that they would launch a television network that viewers would have to pay Momo to watch after they took control.

Momo—is it not digital? John Dumelo's bottom-up strategy is what I'll use. Empress, I know that we've moved on, but I'm not suggesting that a television station isn't the greatest in 2024. And they were cheering again.

The Kumawood celebrities who were there and cheering know that their failure to keep up with technology advancements is the albatross around their neck. He stated on United Television in Accra, "Then someone is standing there promising a television station when they know that Kumawood's failure was their failure to keep up with technological advancement, and you're applauding him knowing that your industry is on its knees because you didn't keep up with technological advancement."
