After receiving a 15-year prison term, Patricia Asiedua, also known as Nana Agradaa, has spoken for the first time.
She sent out a brief message to Ghanaians, specifically to her church's followers. Her message is straightforward. Her words were, "Pray for me."
Prior to becoming a Christian evangelist, Nana Agradaa was a traditional priestess. She claimed to have psychic abilities that could quadruple viewers' money when she appeared on television in 2022. She received a lot of money because many people believed in her. Regretfully, none of them got what was promised to them.
She was brought before the court following multiple complaints. She was convicted by the Accra Circuit Court on Thursday, July 3, 2025, of lying and using deceptive advertising to defraud people. Evelyn Asamoah is the name of the judge who heard the case. In court, she is renowned for her fairness and strictness. Agradaa meticulously planned the crime and displayed no remorse, according to Judge Evelyn. She sentenced her to 15 years in prison as a result.
Reporters questioned Agradaa about what she wanted people to do for her, particularly her supporters, following the court ruling. They should pray for her, she remarked quietly. On social media, her message has gone viral. Some argue she should be punished for her actions, while others feel terrible for her.
Many people are worried about what will happen to Nana Agradaa's church and those who continue to support her when she starts her prison term. However, one thing is evident. Right now, she is more in need of prayers than anything else.
