Akofa Edjeani, a well-known actress from Ghana, has urged President John Dramani Mahama to appoint skilled individuals to creative arts jobs.

Speaking to Lexis Bill on Drive Time on Joy FM, Akofa stated that the proper individuals must be assigned to the various roles in order for the sector to flourish.

"This time, we ought to hold a real round table discussion to correct the situation. As the President suggests, let's start over. If he truly believes that, he should appoint the appropriate individuals who comprehend the socioeconomic environment that art brings, the influence, the rebranding, the physical and intangible things that we bring to the forefront, and how it may

According to Akofa, the creative industry is a significant and undervalued part of life.

"The creative industry should be given priority since theater and film are crucial to the development of any country. This is something we must do. You are nothing without culture, so it is how you lay the groundwork. That is a country's soul. However, we tend to be disengaged from it. It doesn't work that way because we put the arts and culture somewhere else and we're in a different location," she said to Lexis Bill.

According to her, the proper basis needs to be established in order to guarantee the arts' vitality.

"Before we begin erecting the structures, we must ensure that we have a solid foundation; otherwise, things will be collapsing as they have for years," she stated.

There are many rumors regarding the identities of the Ministers and other directors for tourism, the arts, and culture that President John Mahama has not yet announced. The names of Sadiq Abdulai Abu, Rex Owusu Marfo, and Abla Dzifa Gomashie have been proposed for the role of minister of tourism, arts, and culture.
