Malik Basintale, the National Democratic Congress' (NDC) deputy media officer, revealed that two government appointees who attempted to depart Ghana were stopped. Some Ghanaians believe that the new administration should look into and bring charges against Nana Addo's corrupt officials after the NDC won the 2024 elections. Hopeson Adorye, a former NPP member, had earlier claimed on social media that he was taking over the airport in order to stop any present government officials from departing the nation.

He claims that he wants them to stay in the nation until the next government is sworn in so that he may expose the wrongdoings, such as embezzlement of public funds while in office. In a different social media post, Malik Basintale reaffirmed that present government leaders cannot leave the country unless they are flying on an eagle, as they would be held accountable to the Ghanaian people. "There is no room for them again around any border unless they escape on eagle's backs," he writes in his post. Remain composed. We've already caught two?
