As the collection process proceeds, journalists are left in limbo by the abandoned NPP Communications Directorate premises.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communications Directorate's lively grounds are surprisingly quiet this morning. There were no periodic press conferences as planned. Two news conferences were scheduled to take place at the Communications Directorate between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m., according to JoyNews correspondent Kenneth Gyasi. The initial briefing was scheduled at 11:45 p.m., and the second for 2 a.m., as per the previously publicized timetable. But none of these things happened. This is a change from the custom of speaking to the country from the national headquarters of the party.

Rather, Miracles Aboagye, the spokeswoman for the Bawumia campaign, and Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party's general secretary, had previously used the Communications Directorate as the main outlet for information dissemination. According to JoyNews, the once-bustling location was abandoned as early as 2:30 AM on Sunday. "This area was crowded with party bosses' cars just an hour and a half ago. The only people left are security guards and journalists, said Kenneth Gyasi.

Journalists at the site have not received any official contact since the last briefing, even though they were informed that they will be updated with election figures over the next three days. The press is unsure on what to do next because of the lack of action and communication. Although the party had promised the media regular updates, the JoyNews reporter pointed out that "not a single executive is currently present to provide information."
