
Ten victims were saved after the Ghana Police Service disrupted a kidnapping and cyberfraud syndicate that was active at Devtraco Estate, Tema Community 25. A situational report from the Okpoi-Gono District Headquarters states that the operation was carried out on February 2, 2026, in accordance with directives from Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, the Inspector General of Police. The intelligence-driven mission was carried out by a team lead by District Crime Officer ASP Grace Owusua Gyan and including members of the Special Operations Unit (SOA) and Okpoi-Gono District Headquarters. Derrick Glory and Robinson Endurance, two male suspects who were accused of systematic cyber fraud and kidnapping, were taken into custody at the scene. According to police intelligence, the victims had been unlawfully arrested and used as props for cybercrime schemes.
