Influencers and content producers from all around the country came together at De Icons in Accra for the 2024 Pulse Influencers Awards, which had as its subject "Futuristic Fashion: AI Glamour," to honor their outstanding accomplishments. The influencers' red carpet fashion statements, which attracted attention online, were among the night's highlights.

Among these was Mercy Nartey, a fashion influencer and finalist for 2020 Ghana's Most Beautiful, also known as Afriyie GMB, whose stunning ensemble attracted both online and in-person attention.

Ghanaian fashion designer Samuel Kojo Dadzi of Selsam Couture Gh fashioned Afriyie GMB's eagle-inspired AI-couture, which was created by Nigerian celebrity illustrator Mimi Okeren. "The eagle is a symbol of strength, freedom, and vision and its attributes can be the inspiring reason for my design with an incorporation of smart metallic fabrics to match the event theme," Afriyie GMB said in an interview with The Spectator, highlighting the positive connotations of the bird.

She added that she was motivated to walk the red carpet at the event in Ghana in order to establish her reputation in the fashion world. At this year's Telecel Ghana Music Award (TGMA), Afriyie made a memorable appearance while sporting a masterpiece by Selsam Couture, which included a King Promise artwork on the train.

Abena Soreno, a media and communication professional, and Wesley Kesse, a trailblazer in the fashion industry, were among the other celebrities whose AI creations attracted attention at the event.
