More than 133 unregistered goods that are being sold in Ghana without the consent of important regulatory authorities have been discovered by the CPA.

It cautioned that there are major health concerns, tax cheating is encouraged, and fair competition for conforming enterprises is compromised.

The CPA has promised ongoing assistance through data sharing and public education, and it has asked for more robust cooperative enforcement by regulators.

Serious concerns over consumer safety and regulatory compliance have been raised by the Consumer Protection Agency (CPA), which has discovered over 133 unregistered items on the Ghanaian market that are not approved by the FDA or the Ghana Standards Authority.

The CPA claimed in a statement released on Thursday, May 21, 2026, that widespread infractions were discovered through its market surveillance, with multiple products being offered without the required testing and certification.
