Power outages will affect many communities starting at 9:00 a.m. on May 18 due to scheduled maintenance in the Greater Accra and other districts. The duration of the outages may vary depending on the location. The news came after several similar scheduled and emergency outages that had affected areas of the Volta, Ashanti, and Greater Accra regions in recent weeks. The areas that would be impacted by the planned maintenance exercise starting on May 18 have been disclosed by the Electricity Company of Ghana.Parts of Accra West, including Mallam and South McCarthy, will experience power outages on May 18. Areas like Ejisu, Manhyia, and New Koforidua in the Ashanti Region are expected to be impacted. The timetable for the week beginning May 18 was posted on Facebook by the Electricity Company of Ghana.
