Afia Schwarzenegger has made a stunning U-turn by leaping to her defense after disparaging her and labeling her, among other things, "barren." The entire controversy began when Akua Donkor's family asked that Delay apologize for disrespecting and insulting her in an interview.

They claimed that Delay's treatment of Akua Donkor prior to her passing demonstrated her contempt for her. Therefore, before they buried her, they insisted that she visit the family and formally apologize to them.

In response, Afia, who had previously criticized Delay, encouraged the family to concentrate on President Nana Addo and NDC Flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, as they are accountable for Akua Donkor's demise. In order to avoid severe embarrassment, she counseled the family to schedule her funeral prior to the next elections.
