In addition to receiving multiple honors, this talented actress, singer, TV host, novelist (The Unforgettable), and former politician has forged a deep emotional bond with Ghanaians that has defined her extraordinary career. Maame Dokono's narrative and performances gave astonishment and joy to many Ghanaian children growing up. She became a Saturday afternoon favorite as the adored presenter of By The Fireside, a children's program supported by the 31st December Movement. Children were drawn into captivating folktales by her energetic "pempran!" introduction, which sparked their imaginations and strengthened their appreciation of Ghanaian customs.
