In the Central region's Agona West constituency, 280 members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have been expelled. The party claims that the action complies with Article 3(9)(1) of the 2017 modified Party Constitution. At the Expanded Constituency Executive Committee meeting on Sunday, December 15, 2024, this decision was made unanimously. The meeting's attendees included the party's electoral area coordinators in Agona West, constituency officers, the municipal chief executive, founding members of the constituency, members of the current and former council of elders and patrons, and members of the constituency disciplinary committee.
