Japhet Yeboah, a Mobile Money (MoMo) vendor, was shot and killed during a daylight robbery in the Bono Region's Dormaa West District near Nkrankwanta. The event happened at the Nkrankwanta lorry station on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at approximately 4 p.m. Witnesses said that the shooters approached Japhet while pretending to do business after arriving in a white RAV4 private vehicle. But they assaulted him and had him give up his money, which resulted in a fight. The MoMo vendor was shot twice and killed instantly after he was able to unmask one of the gunmen during the battle. The bandits fired warning shots, and scores of people at the station, including drivers, passengers, and vendors, ran for their lives. The attackers got away.
