Salifu Amoako and Kofi Oduro, two well-known Ghanaian prophets, are at odds in the public eye. When Prophet Kofi Oduro chastised people for exposing their skin during his preaching, the tension started.

Salifu Amoako responded to Kofi Oduro's recent denunciation of the practice during a sermon. Although Salifu Amoako was not specifically mentioned, he responded to Kofi Oduro in an interview with Zionfelix. During a recent church service, Kofi Oduro subtly attacked pastors who engaged in skin bleaching, thus escalating the rivalry.

I'm glad to be Black, I'm a Blackman, and I enjoy being Black, but I don't understand the advantages of bleaching." Being a white man is not what I desire. I realize that God is too much when I look in the mirror. Why should my skin be bleached? Pastors are now whitening their skins, as bleaching has grown widespread. Pastor! "You're insane," indirectly fires prophet Kofi Oduro.
