Benjamin Gyewu-Appiah, a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communications team, has made it clear that if John Mahama wins the election, he will burn himself alive by dousing himself in gasoline.

The NPP spokesperson claims that if John Mahama wins the December elections, as was the case in Morocco, he will burn himself alive for the benefit of all Ghanaians. Benjamin Gyewu-Appiah brazenly declared, "If John Mahama wins this election, pour kerosene on me and burn me. I am telling you this in the studio live studio, all Ghanaians will see it here." He made this statement while speaking on Original TV's Amanyosem.

"I am not kidding when I say that if Mahama wins these elections, I would burn myself alive in a live studio with everyone watching. He made a point of saying, "When I say something, I do it. When he wins, I'll come here and sit here and burn myself." The NPP spokesperson went on to reaffirm, "I am saying I will come here, I will burn it here live studio, I will bring Kerosene here and put myself on fire like it happened in Morocco." "No one will see me anywhere." In the meantime, Ghanaians will choose their next president and four-year parliamentary representatives in nine days.
