Okraku-Mantey argues for the deputy ministerial function, saying that Mahama had to explain his actions as vice president.

By using former President John Dramani Mahama's time as vice president, Mark Okraku-Mantey, the deputy minister for tourism, arts, and culture, has urged detractors to reevaluate their standards for deputy ministers. "I hear people say I am the worst deputy minister ever at the ministry," Okraku-Mantey stated in response to criticism of his performance in office on the Daybreak Hitz show. I observe that people are speaking from their feelings. I now speak with law as a law student. That's why I want things checked, I quote.

He emphasized the deputy minister's supportive function to the substantive minister while going into detail about the deputy minister's role limits. He said, "The deputy minister's job is to go there and support the main minister." By drawing a comparison, Okraku-Mantey pushed the opposition party to assess Mahama's vice presidential term.

That is the reason I stated that even those in the NDC should not underestimate it, as Vice President Dr. Bawumia has stated. "Mahama ought to demonstrate his actions while serving as vice president," he said. Mr. Okraku-Mantey, however, upheld his own efforts, arguing that his accomplishments could only be seen as furthering the orders of his superior. I can only mention my supervisor when discussing my actions because of this. I am your employer, and you can't function without me. They need to make sure first; it's not just about speaking while holding a microphone. He said that there is a chain of command.

Additionally, he urged the public to evaluate the ministry's overall accomplishments rather than concentrating only on individual performances. "They ought to inquire about the ministry's actions, not in a personal manner," he continued.
