A Ford Transit bus carrying more than ₵1 million in coins and one cedi bills concealed under fertilizer sacks was stopped by authorities in the Volta Region. When the police halted the car, it was traveling from Ho to Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

According to Edward Ansah, the man in prison, he was transporting the money on behalf of a Kumasi-based individual. He is still being held by the police while the case is being investigated.

Concerns regarding the intent behind this covert money transfer have been brought to light by the finding. There are many concerns about whether it might be a component of other illegal financial activities or a wider money laundering network.

The cash is unusually hidden in photos taken at the site, highlighting the extent of the planning that went behind it.

Security forces are stepping up their surveillance of the physical and electronic channels used to transfer big sums of money because to the high political tensions, particularly the investigation of former New Patriotic Party officials.

The public is waiting for more information as the police have not yet explained the money's source or intended purpose. As the inquiry progresses, followers are encouraged to stay in touch for regular updates.
