Shatta Wale's persistent claims that the Ghanaian media is against him and has been working to undermine him have been dismissed by media personality Sally Mann. Following Sally Mann's allegations that some industry insiders got together and conspired to push Stonebwoy while disregarding Shatta Wale, Wale made the remarks.

In response, she stated that Shatta Wale has been brought down by his own conceit and st*pid*ty, not by anyone else. Mann pointed to Shatta Wale's frequent attacks on those who could assist him and claimed that all of the problems that have hampered his career have been self-inflicted by him.

According to her, Shatta Wale hurt himself by disparaging Osei Kwame Despite and Kwesi Twum, who run Despite Media and Multimedia, two of Ghana's biggest media outlets, and then expecting no repercussions.
