Aspiring Council of State member and Chief of Agric Nzema (a Kumasi suburb), Nana Nkansah Boadu Ayeboafo, has recounted alleged incidents in which he clashed with Ashanti Regional Minister Dr. Frank Amoakohene amid the chaos that characterized Tuesday, February 11, 2025's Council of State election for the region.

Nana Nkansah Boadu claims that Dr. Frank Amoakohene told him directly that he would not be the Ashanti Region's representative on the Council of State and that not even Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, could reverse his destiny. "Dr. Frank Amoakohene, the young man who was selected as a minister, informed me that it would be over his dead body if I were elected."

He continued his criticism of the regional minister, calling him a guy who has no regard for the old. "If he was not properly nurtured, he should go and beat his parents," he said.

The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council, the site of Tuesday's Council of State election, was in disarray following the conclusion of the voting process.
