Kwame Baffoe, also known as Abronye, the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has denounced Inspector General of Police Tetteh Yohunu for his arrest and subsequent detention. He asserts that previous President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo would have even detained John Dramani Mahama if he had taken action against those who publicly abused him. He clarified that despite his detention, the IGP and his staff have not been able to produce any kind of appropriate proof to back up their allegations. "As of right now, the police have not produced any evidence to support their allegations that I insulted the IGP," he stated. Since the judge wrote his decision prior to the court session, the Bono Regional Chairman revealed that his remand was premeditated.

"The Judge took the ruling from his diary and started reading after my lawyer's arguments, instead of writing the ruling down," he added. I informed my attorney that the judge had already written the decision, thus I would like to know who spoke with the judge and persuaded him to write the decision prior to the court session. He was pleased that the nation's top attorneys denounced the judge's behavior.
