The lawsuit against seven people, including former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, has been rescheduled until February 26. The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) asked for additional time to finish important pre-trial procedures, and the court granted the extension. These include international procedures to serve court summons on Mr Ofori-Atta and another accused person, Ernest Darko Akore, both of whom have been proclaimed fugitives from justice and are currently outside the country. The Wednesday meeting was supposed to be a case management conference when the court would establish guidelines for the course of the trial.Due to two unfulfilled prerequisites, that session could not proceed. The OSP informed the court that Mr. Ofori-Atta and Mr. Akore had not yet received summonses.
