The renovated Koforidua Jackson Park has been turned into a cutting-edge center with the commissioning of the project by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. The government's attempts to improve the Eastern Region's infrastructure, especially in the New Juaben South Municipality, include the renovated park. Two public stands, a ceremonial stand, a VIP stand, a clinic, a 12-unit restroom facility, an event center with a TV theater and a pub, a gym, a volleyball court, and a basketball court are all part of the project, which was funded and supported by the World Bank as part of the Secondary Cities Support Program.

With enhanced lighting, security, and sanitary facilities, the park—which can hold up to 2,000 people for an event—becomes a safer and more pleasurable place for both locals and tourists. Speaking to a huge throng, President Akufo-Addo conveyed his sincere appreciation to the Koforidua people for their faith in him. Additionally, he thanked the Regional Minister, New Juaben South MCE and MP, for carrying out a project he entrusted to their care. The president went on to say that the New Patriotic Party, which is currently in power, would return to carry out more initiatives that will benefit the populace.
The park's commissioning, according to Michael Okyere Baafi, the Member of Parliament for New Juaben South, is evidence of the government's dedication to raising the standard of living for its people. He mentioned a number of NPP-completed projects, including the Koforidua Youth Resource Center and the historic 42-kilometer road project in the Eastern regional seat. In order to express gratitude to the current administration and to further guarantee the sustainability and implementation of development initiatives, he urged the populace to convert this into a vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the NPP.
If the NPP loses, the MP pointed out, it would be a blow to the party and the Koforidua people because he would no longer have access to the resources and assistance he provides to the people of Koforidua to guarantee advancement. Isaac Apaw Gyasi, the municipal chief executive of New Juaben South, stated that the milestone represents a major improvement to the city's recreational amenities and infrastructure. He pointed out that the renovated park will improve Koforidua's visual appeal while offering a contemporary area for leisure, socializing, and community gatherings. He underlined that it is anticipated that the project will boost local economic growth, provide jobs, and increase tourism in the area.
