'Trotro' runs over a level 300 student, and KNUST laments

Afia Dedaa Osae-Atuah, a third-year geography student, was tragically killed when she was struck by a speeding commercial vehicle, a "Trotro." Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) is in mourning. She was traveling to Kumasi to fix her laptop when the incident happened. Afia was hit by the car as it swerved off the road, causing her death.

The loss of the young student has shaken the KNUST community, and many people have expressed their sorrow and condolences for the situation. Social media users have expressed their condolences for the deceased, especially on X. One user remarked, "Going out and returning safely is such an underrated blessing." I hope her modest soul finds peace.

As a sobering reminder of how fleeting life can be, the horrific accident has brought attention to the risks on the roads. The cause of the incident is presently being looked into by authorities. The number of casualties to date has not been disclosed.
