VIDEO: How Joana supposedly died as a result of Daniel pressing his knee into her neck

The terrible death of Joana Yabane Deladem Aku, a 21-year-old student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) enrolled in Level 400 Biological Science, is currently being mourned across Ghana. Daniel, the main suspect in the murder, is accused of stealing Joana's phone on Monday for reasons that only he knows. Later, Joana called the police to report the occurrence. The tension between Joana and Daniel was evident even when they went to their department the next day to study.

They were accompanied by two pals to the university's Disability and Rehab Center as they departed the department. Daniel is accused of assaulting Joana after the friends departed, forcing her from behind, striking her on the ground, stamping on her, and choking her with his knee until she lost consciousness. Then, to make it look like a robbery, he pulled her into some adjacent bushes, stole her laptop and phone, and ran away.
