Regarding the ongoing investigation into suspected financial irregularities within the National Service Scheme (NSS), Gifty Oware Mensah, the former Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Authority (NSA), has stated her willingness to cooperate with any state security or investigative body, according to her legal representatives. Her attorneys, Sarkodie Baffour Awuah and Partners, denied allegations that Oware Mensah was avoiding investigation in a statement released on Friday, February 28, 2025, and copied to Mynewsgh.com. They emphasized that she has not received an official summons from the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) or any other investigative agency. According to the statement, "should her cooperation be required, our client is ready, able, and willing to fully cooperate with any state security/investigative agency, including your organization."

The statement comes in the wake of social media claims that Oware Mensah fled Ghana to avoid being questioned following the arrest of Kwaku Ohene Djan, the former NSA Deputy Executive Director. Her legal team, however, maintains that she is staying in the nation and has no plans to move elsewhere. They also encouraged authorities to contact Oware Mensah directly or through her legal lawyers if necessary, and reassured them that she is available for any questions.
