
The Member of Parliament for Wassa Amenfi East, Hon. Nicholas Amankwah has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to constituents for their overwhelming support in the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.
The constituents re-elected Nicholas Amankwah affectionately called Home Boy for a second term, with 32,210 votes, while his contender, Ernest Frempong of the New Patriotic Party, garnered 23,702 votes out of 56,541 total votes cast.
Additionally, the constituents gave President John Dramani Mahama a resounding victory over his main opponent, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party.
Following these remarkable political history in Amenfi East Constituency in the Western Region, Nicholas Amankwah and the Amenfi East constituency executives embarked on a thank you tour to express his heartfelt appreciation for the confidence they imposed in him.
The tour, divided into two phases, began on 20th August with visits to Asesenso, Akatrika, Adwumako, Boikrom, Mampong, Nyamebekyere, Daamang, Wuuwuso.
The rest are K.T.K, Bonakrom, Camp, Penkwansi, Somanya, Akwaboa, Ntow, Marfo, Mampong, Nsueam and Opong Valley Zone.
During these visits, Hon. Amankwah and his entourage paid courtesy calls on chiefs, engaged in discussions on development and progress, and listened to community concerns.
The MP assured the constituents of his commitment and President John Dramani Mahama's dedication to prioritizing development in the Amenfi East constituency.
He highlighted key initiatives, such as the National Apprenticeship Programme, One Million Youth in Coding, 24-Hour Economy, and The Big Push, aimed at supporting Mahama's reset agenda.
The communities he visited were filled with boundless joy and enthusiasm as the residents welcomed their Member of Parliament.
Some constituents who shared their thoughts with the media commended Hon. Nicholas Amankwah for his outstanding leadership and impressive development initiatives, which have significantly impacted the constituency since his election in 2020.
