Hon. Gertrude Nartey continues to cement her reputation as a transformative leader in Atwima Nwabiagya North Municipality (ANNM), demonstrating unwavering commitment to political progress and community development.

Recently, she graced the 68th Independence Day Parade in Barekese, where she engaged with local leaders and citizens under the theme “Reflect, Review, and Reset.” Later that day, she led a delegation to visit victims of the Amakye Bare disaster, working tirelessly to develop strategies for restoring livelihoods in the affected community.

Her dedication has not gone unnoticed. Having resided in the municipality since 2011, Hon. Nartey has played a pivotal role in reshaping the National Democratic Congress (NDC) into a formidable political force in the region. Her leadership, financial sacrifices, and resilience have earned her the revered title “NDC Mother,”reflecting her nurturing influence within the party.

Hon. Nartey’s impact goes beyond politics. As an education advocate, she has established a private school that currently serves students from preschool to junior high, with ambitious plans to expand to senior high and tertiary education. Her contributions highlight her deep-rooted commitment to the long-term development of the municipality.

Her remarkable track record within the NDC—serving as Branch Women’s Organizer, Constituency Executive Member, Deputy Women’s Organizer, former Parliamentary Candidate, and a key financier of the party from 2012 to 2020 demonstrates her loyalty and dedication to the party’s growth.

At the recent State of the Nation Address, H.E. John Mahama emphasized the need to empower competent women in governance. If the NDC is to stay true to this vision, then Hon. Gertrude Nartey is the perfect candidate for the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) position in ANNM. Her leadership would not only enhance gender representation but also serve as a well-deserved reward for years of selfless service.

Hon. Gertrude Nartey’s leadership is a beacon of hope for the people of ANNM. Her vision, experience, and passion make her the ideal choice to drive progress and development in the municipality. The future of Atwima Nwabiagya North looks promising under her stewardship.
