The Vicar General of the Catholic Diocese of Koforidua, Rev. Msgr. Francis Twum-Barimah, has urged parishioners to offer unwavering support to the Priests assigned to their parish.

His call came during the installation of Rev. Fr. Noah Tseko as the new Parish Priest of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, at Akyem New Tafo in the Eastern Region.

Presiding over the Holy Mass for the occasion, Rev. Msgr. Francis Twum-Barimah encouraged the faithful to be active participants in the Church’s spiritual and societal activities. "Do not drag your feet; be engaged at Mass and in all spiritual undertakings. This is the only way the Church can experience growth," he emphasized.

The event also coincided with Sunday of the Word of God, and Rev. Msgr. Francis Twum-Barimah reminded the parishioners of the importance of reading and living by the Word of God. "The Word of God is essential for all of us; it should liberate us, offer redemption, and bring joy," he noted.

In his address to the newly installed Parish Priest, Rev. Msgr. Francis Twum-Barimah instructed Rev. Fr. Noah Tseko to lead the faithful as a shepherd, guided by the teachings of the Bible and the Canon Laws of the Church. "Rev. Fr. Noah, you are the head of this Church, and today I officially present you to your parishioners. Guide them with God’s Word and seek their counsel as you undertake the mission ahead," he advised.

Rev. Fr. Noah Tseko was officially installed as the new Parish Priest by Rev. Msgr. Francis Twum-Barimah together with the Parish Pastoral Council Members.

The joyful occasion saw enthusiastic support from Parishioners, from all nine (9) outstations, as they warmly welcomed their new spiritual leader.

In his acceptance speech, Rev. Fr. Tseko expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the warm reception and shared his excitement to serve the community. He also outlined his vision for the parish, emphasizing his commitment to both spiritual growth and infrastructural development.

The celebration featured cultural performances from the Catholic Youth Organization and a vibrant medley of songs from the Parish Choir, adding to the joyous atmosphere of the occasion.
