The Parliamentary candidate for the Amanfi Central Constituency in the Western Region of Ghana has called on his supporters, particularly members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), to remain calm and patient as they await the decision of the national executive regarding the recent developments involving the Electoral Commission (EC).

Addressing the concerns of his constituents, the candidate acknowledged the unease surrounding the EC's recent actions and the uncertainty they have caused ahead of the 2024 elections. He urged his supporters not to be disheartened, reassuring them that he remains resolute in his commitment to serving the people of Amanfi Central.

"I understand that you may feel scared and worried about the recent suspension of the Electoral Commission (EC) and its impact on the upcoming 2024 elections. However, I want to assure you that I am not intimidated by these actions, and I will continue to fight for the best interests of our constituency," he stated.

The candidate suggested that opposition parties might see his candidacy as a significant threat and are possibly attempting to use these developments to weaken his position. Despite this, he emphasized that he would not be deterred from his mission to bring positive change to the Amanfi Central community.

"Let us stay united and stand firm in our beliefs as we work together to bring positive change to our community. Trust in the electoral process and let us all make our voices heard through our votes," he encouraged his supporters.

In the midst of these issues, a court has placed an injunction on the printing of ballot papers for the Amanfi Central Constituency. The candidate expressed confidence that this legal challenge would not undermine the NDC's efforts or give undue advantage to the NPP or the EC, highlighting the importance of the rule of law in ensuring a fair electoral process.

"Together, we will overcome any challenges and emerge victorious. I thank you for your unwavering support and trust in me. Let us stay strong and keep moving forward," he concluded, urging his supporters to remain steadfast in their determination for a fair and transparent election.
