The Joana Gyan Foundation, founded by the NDC parliamentary candidate for Amanfi Central, Madam Joana Gyan, also known as Obaa Naa, recently organized a successful medical screening event for over 700 residents in the Amuni community in the Western Region. The initiative aimed to provide essential medical assistance and improve the overall health and well-being of the local citizens.

During the event, the foundation not only offered a range of medical services but also distributed sanitary pads to all the women and girls present. This gesture was warmly received and will significantly enhance menstrual hygiene practices among the female residents of Amuni.

Madam Joana Gyan expressed her commitment to making this initiative an annual event, ensuring that the foundation continues to support the health needs of the community in the years to come. She emphasized that the Joana Gyan Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of the people in Amanfi Central by providing consistent healthcare services and support.

The medical screening covered a variety of health checks, including tests for malaria, hepatitis B, breast cancer screenings for women, and eye and ear examinations. The comprehensive nature of these services ensured that the participants received thorough medical assessments to address their health concerns.

Community members expressed their gratitude for the foundation’s efforts, acknowledging the impact of the medical intervention on their lives. Many residents pledged their support for Madam Joana Gyan in the upcoming elections and promised to vote for her and John Dramani Mahama, recognizing her commitment to their well-being.

Traditional leaders and assembly members of Amuni also praised the foundation for providing much-needed healthcare to citizens who often struggle to access quality medical services due to financial barriers. They commended the initiative as a vital step toward improving healthcare accessibility in the region.

The dedication of the Joana Gyan Foundation to enhancing the health and well-being of the Amuni community is a shining example of how individuals and organizations can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those they serve. The foundation's focus on both medical support and sanitary pad distribution demonstrates a holistic approach to addressing the needs of women and girls in the area.

The Joana Gyan Foundation's ongoing efforts to deliver healthcare support and essential resources to the people of Amuni are truly commendable. These initiatives are expected to significantly uplift the lives of residents in the Amanfi Central Constituency, setting a positive example for other communities to follow.
