Peter Amponsah, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Amenfi Central, will outline the district’s vision for a resilient agricultural future, detailing local initiatives aligned with the day's overarching theme.

In a statement released by the Assembly, it underscored the profound importance of community solidarity in celebrating farmers, whom it described as “the backbone of Ghana’s development.” The event at Amuni Durbar Grounds will feature a traditional durbar of chiefs and farmers, captivating cultural displays showcasing the rich heritage of the Wassa Amenfi Central area, and the highly anticipated presentation of awards to outstanding farmers. Keynote addresses will focus on strategies for enhancing agricultural productivity, promoting value addition, and ensuring long-term sustainability in agriculture.

The invitation passionately asserts, "The future is secure when we support agriculture," urging all residents, including farmers, market women, youth groups, and other stakeholders, to actively participate. It further highlights the Assembly’s unwavering resolve to strengthen the vital linkage between farming activities and local economic growth, thereby reinforcing food security and fostering prosperity for both the district and the nation.
