Award-winning Ghanaian musician Black Sherif was hit by a fan's thrown lighter at the Black Sherif Live in Berekum concert, causing him to abruptly halt his performance. At the Golden City Park in Berekum, Bono Region, where the Rebel Music hitmaker was the main attraction, the tragedy happened on Boxing Day.
The concert was interrupted by a clearly agitated Black Sherif, who challenged the offending party to come out and face them on stage. When no one stepped forward in spite of his appeals, the performer started his thrilling performance, thrilling the audience once more.
After the successful Zaama Disco concert on December 21, 2024, in the Untamed Empire creative studio in Accra, there was a concert in Berekum. The two events demonstrated Black Sherif's increasing star power and influence in Ghana's music industry.
Since then, social media fans have had conflicting opinions about the act. While some have called it rude, others have commended Black Sherif for being professional and completing the show in spite of the provocation.
