24 presidential election, in which John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was declared president-elect. The announcement by the Electoral Commission came 48 hours after Ghanaians cast their votes. While Mahama celebrated his victory and his opponent, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, conceded defeat, Agya Koo’s remarks took a different tone.

A staunch supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Agya Koo had actively campaigned against Mahama’s return to power. However, in his message shared on social media, the actor avoided mentioning his preferred candidate and instead focused on unity and prayer. Accompanied by a photo of himself holding the Ghanaian flag, Agya Koo wrote, "We give thanks to God for a peaceful and successful election in our beloved Ghana. May His divine guidance lead our nation into greater heights. Let’s keep Ghana in our prayers!"

His statement has sparked discussions, with many applauding his call for peace and national unity despite his political stance.
