As experience dictates, younger people should be given opportunities, according to former Finance Minister Dr. Kwabena Duffour.

Many economists in the NDC will be aided in managing the finance ministry, according to Dr. Kwabena Duffour.

In order to offer the younger folks experience and help them develop, he added, the older ones will be at the back giving advice.

"The NDC has so many economists, fantastic ones, and we have young people, who will be supported to run the ministry," Dr. Kwabena Duffour said before John Mahama was sworn in. There shouldn't be any issue whatsoever.

"We should be at the back, giving advice to the young people and giving them experience so they can grow to have the same experience you have," Kwabena Duffour continued.

A new chapter of freedom and opportunity for all Ghanaians has begun with the inauguration of President-elect John Dramani Mahama, which Dr. Kwabena Duffour has hailed as a watershed moment in the country's history.

"All Ghanaians are embracing a new era of freedom and independence, and we are about to witness opportunities that will benefit everyone, not just a chosen few," he said.

As the finance minister-designate, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the MP for Ajumako Enyan Essiam, has been appointed.
