According to Satisfaction News, a close associate of Executive Wontumi, the New Devoted Party's (NPP) Ashanti Territorial Director, was arrested for allegedly attempting to purchase goods in the district.
Police in the Ashanti Area detained the man, whose name has not yet been disclosed, after receiving information about the alleged plot.
An unknown person allegedly recruited the suspect to finish the demonstration, according to sources.
