Alleged NDC supporters attacked the Ghana Ports and Harbors Authority and other Tema-based state institutions, such as Volta Aluminium Company Limited (VALCO), Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), and TDC Ghana Ltd., demanding the resignation of top management chosen by the previous administration.

NDC supporters allegedly stormed the Ghana Ports and Harbors Authority, demanding the resignation of the chairman due to the party's loss of power. The demonstrators contended that former government appointees ought to be disqualified from their positions.

Some of the young people closed down offices during the protest. In an explanation of their complaints, one of the demonstrators, Kwame Dankwa, stated, "We do not want any appointee of the previous administration to remain in office." As you can see, we didn't create any disturbance," he said as a warning. There isn't anything wrong with us. This is where we came to do something. Nevertheless, it will be a different story if we return or learn that they are doing differently.

Arguments broke out between the demonstrators and the personnel throughout the chaotic event. Some employees had to leave their workplaces in order to be safe.

The Tema Regional Police Command thankfully showed up in time to stop the situation from getting worse. Through their assistance, order was restored and no violent assaults took place.
