Kofi Adoma sustained a severe eye injury while covering the Kwafie Festival in Dormaa Ahenkro in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana in December 2024. The injury, caused by a gunshot, has left him in need of extensive medical treatment, including multiple surgeries to remove gunpowder residue and repair his eyesight.

Despite the severity of his condition, Kofi Adoma has not received the expected support from some influential figures and institutions. This has led to frustration and disappointment among his supporters. A notable comment from a concerned individual stated, "No one to help Kofi Adoma; He's not from Domaa; No one called, you can call me wicked."

The community has rallied behind Kofi Adoma, with numerous Ghanaians expressing their support and sympathy. A GoFundMe campaign was launched by his close friend and content creator Magraheb, raising over €5,000 to cover the cost of his remaining surgeries. Additionally, businessman Ibrahim Mahama donated $115,000 to assist with the medical expenses.

There is a growing call for more support from both the public and influential figures. The management of Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN), where Kofi Adoma works, has also urged Ghanaians to continue praying for his full recovery and to provide any financial assistance they can.

Kofi Adoma's predicament highlights the need for solidarity and support in times of crisis. As a respected journalist who has dedicated his career to informing and educating the public, it is crucial that he receives the necessary help to overcome this challenging period. The community's response so far has been commendable, but more needs to be done to ensure his full recovery.
