Kevin Ekow Taylor, host of the With All Due Respect show on Loud Silence TV, has sent a direct message to the newly appointed CEO of Ghana COCOBOD, Dr. Randy Abbey.

In a recent Facebook post, Taylor called on Dr. Abbey to immediately dismiss Fiifi Boafo, the current Head of Public Affairs at COCOBOD. He argued that since the country is undergoing a "reset," COCOBOD should also be part of this transformation, and removing Boafo would be a necessary step.

Fiifi Boafo is a communications professional responsible for managing COCOBOD’s public relations and sharing key industry information. Before joining COCOBOD, he was a journalist known for his work at Oman FM, where he hosted prominent programs and engaged in national discussions. His background in journalism has contributed to his effectiveness in corporate communications.

Taylor’s remarks follow the appointment of Dr. Ransford Anertey Abbey, popularly known as Randy Abbey, as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana COCOBOD. President John Dramani Mahama officially appointed him, with the decision formalized in a letter signed by Dr. Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President. The appointment was made in accordance with Article 195(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 12(2) of the Ghana Cocoa Board Act, 1984 (P.N.D.C.L. 81).

Dr. Abbey is a well-respected journalist and football administrator. He recently ended a 23-year career at Metro TV, where he hosted the Good Morning Ghana show. Additionally, he serves as an Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association and is the president of Kpando Hearts of Lions Football Club.
