The chair that former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo allegedly brought to the majority of his events has been called for to be seized by Nana Boadi Amponim Abobade III, Kontihene of Akyem Asuom.

Given that it was not bought with Akufo-Addo's personal money, Nana Boadi believes the chair ought to be removed from the former statesman and put in a museum to raise money for the nation.

To highlight the chair's importance, Nana Boadi compared it to the Golden Stool of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

He pointed out that during Akufo-Addo's presidency, the chair had been kept safe by armed men brandishing AK-47s and moved in a V8 vehicle.
