Ketu North, Ghana – May 18, 2025

Hon. Eric Edem Agbana, Member of Parliament for Ketu North, has reaffirmed his commitment to youth development and academic excellence in the constituency through strategic support for education and sports.

In collaboration with the Centre for Best Grade Assessment, the MP has launched a Special Mock Examination for Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates across the constituency. The initiative, which began today, aims to assess and adequately prepare students ahead of the national examination.

“This mock examination is a key part of our efforts to improve educational outcomes for our young people,” Hon. Agbana stated. “We want to ensure that every candidate is well-prepared and confident heading into the final exams.”

In a parallel show of support for sports development, Hon. Agbana also announced the safe arrival of 110 student-athletes and 16 officials in Hohoe to participate in the ongoing Inter-District Sports Festival. As part of his commitment to the team, he has provided financial and logistical assistance, including GHS 20,000 and 50 mattresses to ensure the athletes are well-equipped and comfortable.

“We believe in nurturing not only academic talent but also athletic potential,” he said. “Our young athletes deserve all the support they need to thrive, and we will continue to stand by them throughout the competition.”

He extended his best wishes to all BECE candidates and athletes, while expressing deep gratitude to teachers in the constituency.

“I sincerely thank all our dedicated teachers for their sacrifices and tireless efforts. Their commitment is the backbone of our community’s progress,” the MP added.

This dual support for both academic and sporting excellence underscores Hon. Agbana’s broader vision for youth empowerment in Ketu Nort
